To be honest, I don't like to change an old phone for a new one, it's always such a sad event when you spend days making sure the new phone has all the apps, sounds etc just like the previous one. The newer android is great, but I always have to say goodbye to a few older apps that the new android doesn't support - some install despite the "not for this android" message, and some you can't install anymore.
I like Sony, although changing the display from 16:9 to 21:9 was a hassle. I've gotten used to it over time, but the only advantage is for watching movies, and even those aren't much in 21:9. I find the 16:9 display more practical - I have it on PC, TV. so compatibility of desktop images etc would be better. But what the hell, I can't stop progress.
What I miss more is the status LED - I always knew if I had a missed event, if the phone was charged, etc. Sony has no substitute for this - yes, you can set the camera flash to flash on an event, but it only does that on the event and then nothing (and it's quite annoying). This is a really big minus of the new phone. Even ordinary xiaomi has at least flickering edges of the display.
Another minus is the price. Like I understand that everything is eco nowadays, but a charger with a cable could be at that price. We have a lot of chargers and cables for devices at home, but sometimes it's just necessary to buy new ones, whether the cable gets chewed by the dog, destroyed by children, or gets bent and stops working - just cables and chargers are consumables that we occasionally buy and so it would be nice to have a cable with a charger right in the package of the phone - cor for the price. When I bought the xiaomi 12s for my kids, the phone was half the price and the package included a charger, cable, basic silicone phone case and a factory-installed screen protector - and sony? For twice the price, nothing but the phone. (on the other hand, it is a fact that the xiaomi phone is loaded with ads that users do not miss even in the phone settings)
However, I still like Sony, the advantages are in the quality of workmanship, it is a fact that since my wife's phone falls down so many times, it holds and just does not break the screen as with other brands, update support is also quite long at sony, not so the number of service centers when something goes wrong.
If sony's pricing policy goes on like this, who knows how my "I like sony" will turn out.
the phone is otherwise fine, everything works as it should, battery life for two days even when I play tanks, call, internetuju is OK. size, control is ok too. Quite a lot of things can be disabled, uninstalled, reconfigured, so everything will eventually be fine-tuned to my liking. only the status LED is missing - I guess I'll have to look for an app to notify me of new events.
