I bought the Sony WH-CH720N expecting good quality from a Sony product, but unfortunately I was very disappointed.
The sound quality for listening to music is acceptable, but the microphone quality is extremely poor. During calls, especially on Microsoft Teams, my voice has a lot of background noise and interference, making communication difficult.
I tested the headphones with multiple devices (phone and computer) to make sure it was not a configuration issue, but the problem remained the same.
I opened a warranty claim with Alza explaining the issue, but the claim was rejected and the product was returned without solving the problem.
For a headset in this price range, I expected much better microphone performance and customer support. I cannot recommend this product if you need it for work, online meetings, or calls.

ANS is really very poor quality. You can hear the noise of the subway and the bus and children talking two rows away. The design looks very cheap, I expect it won't last very long. The soft leather earcups, although I prefer textile so well shield the surrounding noise. But not so that you can't hear anything at all - that's fine with me, I want to hear the doorbell, the knock on the door, etc. The headphones are decent but I definitely recommend installing the Sony Sound Connect app on your phone and tweaking the equalizer and updating the firmware there. Beware on both Windows and Linux the headset will switch to headset profile with poor sound quality after waking up from power save mode. This can be solved by disabling power save for the Bluetooth adapter.

I also own the previous generation of WH-CH700N headphones (i.e. 2 generations older). They are still playing today without any problems. I just replaced the battery. I use them in the garden at work - they are definitely treated more roughly than these, which I only have by my computer. The disappointment with the new generation is enormous. If you get them, be sure never to put them on the table. It always has to go on the headphone stand.

The complaint was rejected. Solved by 3D printing, but the earpiece doesn't fit as well and certainly the PLA won't last as long.
When placed on the table, there is a risk of a manufacturing defect - i.e. you must use a headphone stand.
