For me it's more like a sidegrade from older models. The new shell shape is not for everyone and you have to try other attachments to make sure the headphones stay in your ears. For me it was only the original sony rubbers in the largest size. I normally use the medium size for all headphones. Sound is quite subjective. They are trying to be quite hifi and for example Technics Az100 by memory were quite hyped against Sony. Too bad they sometimes get into the charging position wrong and keep playing in the pocket

I originally wondered who came up with the idea to make the top and bottom of the headphone cass flat and to have sharp edges. But after two days I can say that actually carrying it in my pocket doesn't bother me at all and it's neat. By the way, the processing of the headphones and the box is perfect. Compared to airpods, nothing squeaks and they have zero tolerance.

ANC is improved over the WF5, especially in the bass, but the standing is worse than the competing BOSE QC 2. This can be felt primarily in the mids, which are practically on par with the WF5. The sound is much more natural compared to the previous generation, respectively. "flat", which pleasantly surprised me, as it eliminates the need to tune through the equalizer. But it is still rich and rewarding to listen to. Surprisingly, in comparison with the competing Technics AZ100, it sounds better, as it is not so artificial in the base. it doesn't have that overdriven bass. The new shape came with a taper of about 10-11% from the original, as stated in the marketing materials. However, this is at the expense of the thicker profile of the headphones (width, height about the same as the WF5). When I work out, the headphones fit better in my ears. When lying down, the pressure caused by the rougher shape is slightly felt, but I still believe you can sleep well with these headphones. It is also worth noting that the headphones have the same eartips and eartips fitting system as the previous generation - so you can use AZLA or Comply eartips without any problem. The app has more features than the previous generation. I was most and pleasantly surprised by the Battery Care feature, which limits the battery charging by the IBM system to 80% of maximum capacity. This can be found e.g. and the competing Sennheiser Motion 4 TWS. However, in FW 1.1.0 this functionality only works for the headphones themselves, the box is charged to 100%. So Sony was playing it safe and only targeting improvements on the previous generation. If my WF5 hadn't irretrievably broken down, moving to a newer generation would certainly not make sense. However, Sony has definitely managed to skew the imaginary edge that the competition has picked up over the last 3 years. Of the competition mentioned, in my opinion, it only makes sense to consider the Bose QuietComfort 2, which brings slightly better ANC in exchange for a larger headphone size.

It's just awful, I didn't expect that with a product costing almost 200 dollars you'd still have to buy something extra. If you plan on buying these headphones, go straight to Temu or AliExpress and look for replacements with an inner mesh instead of foam tips. You won't last more than a few hours with the foam. Dubious battery life, somewhere around 5–6 hours, no more. And that's even with the simplest SBC codec. Awful sound isolation with the foam tips. I wasn't a fan of the Philips tips, but their sound isolation was much better. The much-hyped microphone that everyone praises in reviews turned out to be a total scam. It sounds more or less exactly the same as all other headphones (i.e. with creaking, crackling and the usual cut-off at 16,000). Oh well, the sound is good, but what else would you expect? In case it's a big secret to you, for 150 dollars you'll get perfect sound almost anywhere. (With one exception – another scam company called Marshall.)

Zvuk ze sluchátek je ok a na rozdíl od wh-1000xm6 neudělali v Sony povrch sluchátek tak, že se hned zamastí a zašpiní
nerozumím tomu, proč násady na sluchátka už nejsou z gumy, ale z pěny. anc tady stejně není tak perfektní jako u wh-1000xm6 a pěna je hrozně nepohodlná v uších. Vyzkoušel jsem všechny 4 velikosti pěnových násad, ale buď mi sluchátka svévolně vypadávají z uší, nebo je nemůžu mít nasazené víc jak půl hodiny, protože mě z pěny hrozně bolí vnitřek uší. Mám od Sony i staré a levné wf-c500 s gumovými násadami a ty můžu mít pohodlně v uších i na jedenáctihodinový let. S těmito bych si to nedokázal představit

Regarding the size and foam eartips, sizes S and M felt a bit tight for me. They didn't seem stable and I felt like they would fall out at any moment.

Bug, after turning on power care, it charges up to 80%. When one earbud is at 50% and the other is at 80%, the first one doesn't charge. You have to turn it off and let it fully charge, then it works.
The price is definitely high, the sound is excellent but half the functions in the app are useless, give or take.
