The device works as it was presented in the manual. You just need to read the instructions carefully and follow the steps described. In fact, this is not my first SONY device; the previous one, the WI-1000X, was also perfect, but this one is amazing!

It's just awful, I didn't expect that with a product costing almost 200 dollars you'd still have to buy something extra. If you plan on buying these headphones, go straight to Temu or AliExpress and look for replacements with an inner mesh instead of foam tips. You won't last more than a few hours with the foam. Dubious battery life, somewhere around 5–6 hours, no more. And that's even with the simplest SBC codec. Awful sound isolation with the foam tips. I wasn't a fan of the Philips tips, but their sound isolation was much better. The much-hyped microphone that everyone praises in reviews turned out to be a total scam. It sounds more or less exactly the same as all other headphones (i.e. with creaking, crackling and the usual cut-off at 16,000). Oh well, the sound is good, but what else would you expect? In case it's a big secret to you, for 150 dollars you'll get perfect sound almost anywhere. (With one exception – another scam company called Marshall.)

I was mainly concerned about the sound, and that's its biggest strength
The widest, most airy, and fullest sound I've ever heard from closed-back earbuds. The soundstage and imaging are simply brilliant.
Great bass tuning without ANC
almost non-existent distortion at normal volume
Precise but punchy low end, warm vocals, sharp and detailed treble
The ANC isn't overpowering and is effective even in noisy traffic.
Excellent battery life, and with the smart features, it will probably last for 4+ years.
size - a compromise for better acoustics and a bigger battery
They start to hurt my ears after listening for a while, but they don't fall out.
Change in tuning when ANC is on, but nothing terrible.
I would appreciate the option to adjust the EQ for ANC and without it separately
It's missing a parametric EQ, but I think only Nothing has that.

S těmito bych si to nedokázal představit

The sound is top-notch, once you set the Custom EQ to your liking, it's brilliant.
The battery lasts even 12h with a slight compromise, 8h with ANC is realistic,
Beta but functional lc3
Quick setup in the app, nothing you have to search for for ages.
At least a quarter of the app's functions are useless.
Regarding the size and foam eartips, sizes S and M felt a bit tight for me. They didn't seem stable and I felt like they would fall out at any moment.
The foam earring post is a bit tight, but I guess it just takes some getting used to.
Bug, after turning on power care, it charges up to 80%. When one earbud is at 50% and the other is at 80%, the first one doesn't charge. You have to turn it off and let it fully charge, then it works.
The price is definitely high, the sound is excellent but half the functions in the app are useless, give or take.

The sound quality is really good – that’s where Sony really excels; All the high notes are rich – it’s absolutely brilliant
The ANC is brilliant, especially when you’ve got music playing
The earphones themselves and their case don’t seem all that big to me compared to the competition; they’re easy to handle
Hear-through is simply a disaster; For 7,500, I’d expect much better hear-through; I don’t need anything top-of-the-range, but everything sounds tinny on these headphones, as if through a walkie-talkie; for some reason, they even amplify irregular mechanical noises – in a city with lots of traffic, trams – it’s almost impossible to use them, and that’s precisely the sort of place where you’d want this mode for safety reasons (and I’m comparing them to a pair of Jabra headphones that are five years old).
None of the earbud sizes supplied fit me properly – Sony do offer alternatives, but even the smallest size is too big for me, causing painful pressure marks, and Sony don’t offer a smaller size
The earplugs supplied are made of fairly firm foam, which retains the shape of the ear after prolonged use; I suppose the ANC helps a lot, but they’re quite uncomfortable

Higher price, but excellent sound,
Ambient noise cancellation I would have expected better, but I have nothing to compare it to so I don't know if it's good or not,
Many features, but 2/3 useless. The setup instructions are about 140 pages long

Great sound
Very good ANC
Possibility to adjust the battery level - saves battery life and prolongs its life, which is the Achilles heel of older versions (my battery died with XM3 and XM4, making otherwise functional headphones useless)
Still a bit bulky, so they stick out of the ears and are unsuitable for sleeping on the side (otherwise they would work great as spunts to block out ambient noise)
Charging case with sharp edges
