1/5 for the unacceptable problem of deafening whistling that compromises hearing, which is a global problem with this model that cannot be solved (wtf? ), if not for this 4-5/5 file
top-notch, excellent, concrete sound

literally at the end of the two-year warranty, a deafening whistle from the right (and sometimes left) channel every time I turn it on. endangers hearing health, incomprehensible for headphones for 10k, insulting (this is a global problem of many users), sony service does not provide repair (except for replacement of the piece/whole skeleton), so with ANC unusable and every time you turn on the headphones must not put on the ears and "click" into the mode without ANC
illogically built app
switching between two devices often annoyingly malfunctioning
after a year and a half the quasi-cosi-leather covers on the shells started to peel, sony does not provide a replacement (even paid), there is no way to buy/replace (except for amazon replacements)

After a great experience with the older WH-XB910N model, I bought another in the series. These new ones are the proverbial pinch better in all aspects. Every little thing is just a little bit more refined, tighter, more precise. Even though they look practically the same, I'd never go back.

After almost two years of use, a deafening scream started coming from the right earphone (from the ANC microphone), so the earphones went on warranty (I bought them just because of the ANC function). Until then, they were the best headphones.

Active noise cancelling and ambient sound seemed like redundancies to me, but I learned to use them within a week or so.
