How a regular PIR sensor works - if it detects movement, it sends information. If you are in the building for a longer period of time, the sensor will continuously send "intrusion" information at intervals of seconds. How the Sonoff PIR sensor works - if it detects motion, it will send 1x "intrusion" information and wait for the motion to stop. If you move in the object for a longer period of time, the sensor will not send anything (it waits for the movement to stop). What does the sensor consider to be the end of movement? According to my experiments, it is about 60 seconds without movement. So if no movement occurs within about 60 seconds, the PIR Sonoff is again ready to send 1x information about a new "intrusion". Example: As I read somewhere, the sensor is not suitable for the toilet. On entry, it sends information once and the light turns on. After a set period of time, the light will go out. But the PIR does not light up again because the PIR has not yet detected the end of the movement. The only way to light up is to sit for about 60 minutes and not move and then wave your hand. How to test the functionality? Turn the sensor towards the wall so that it does not pick up movement in the room. Wait 60 seconds and wave your hand in front of the sensor. Wait 60 seconds and wave your hand in front of the sensor, etc...etc. You will find that reliability is 100%. I don't know if it's the exact 60 seconds, but it worked for me.
