At a distance of about 5m it paired on 3 attempts and then reported only temperature, not humidity. I've been meaning to return it, but as long as it's in the same room it seems to work. I'll have him monitor the temperature in that room.
Together with this sensor I bought the IMMAX NEO Smart temperature and humidity sensor. I recommend it. It's smaller, nicer, uses a regular CR2032 flashlight and works immediately.
