This is my first experience with Sodastream, so I can't compare and that's why I give an average grade. Soda is produced, the operation is simple, though not as simple as in the commercial. I.e. that opening the maker, tilting it doesn't work automatically, but I have to help manually. When using the included plastic bottle, water leaks out, with the glass bottle this does not happen and everything is fine. Summing up, what I bought the device for, i.e. for making soda water in the summer heat, it fulfills. However, the price seems disproportionately high to me. I understand that this is a new type, design, however if it at least worked as advertised.
