Unfortunately, I was disappointed by this product, both in its build quality and the available documentation. The power button keeps getting stuck, which I consider to be a rather fundamental problem for an electrical device. I also don't like the product's orientation in the socket. In the product photos on Alza, the Power Cube is shown with the USB ports and the power button facing upwards. However, when plugged into a standard socket, the product is actually turned around, and the ports and button face downwards. This is impractical and, in my opinion, the product presentation should match its actual position when in use. Furthermore, the build quality itself feels very cheap. Neither the plastic casing nor the button feel like a product that I would have much confidence in for long-term quality. Because of this, I wanted to check its safety and independent testing. I contacted the seller, SMARTYdům.cz, and they confirmed that the product had not been tested by an independent testing laboratory. As documentation, the seller only sent me a one-page Declaration of Conformity from the manufacturer, Ningbo Suoma Electric Co., Ltd. The document refers to the EMC directive and lists several standards for electromagnetic compatibility. Therefore, it is not an independent safety certificate for the entire product. Moreover, the document directly states that it is only valid in conjunction with the test report BSTXD211121041301ER, which I was not provided with. I'm not saying the Power Cube is automatically dangerous. But I have a problem with the combination of a sticking button, impractical orientation in the socket, cheap build quality, and inadequately documented independent testing. So for me, it's 1 star and I do not recommend the product. For an electrical device of this type, I would expect significantly better build quality and more transparent safety documentation.
Compact size * Multiple sockets and USB ports in one device * Simple to plug in
The power button keeps getting stuck
When plugged into a standard socket, the ports and the button face downwards, which is impractical.
In my opinion, the product photos on Alza don't correspond to the actual orientation of the product in the socket.
The workmanship seems very cheap and tacky.
According to the seller, the product was not tested by an independent testing laboratory
The documentation provided is just the manufacturer's declaration of conformity for EMC and refers to a test report which was not supplied.
For an electrical device, the available documentation doesn't inspire enough confidence in me.
