If I remove the bottom compartment, it's not such a long noodle and fits perfectly in my skinny treadmill. I don't have a lot of confidence in the howl closure (I haven't tried it yet to see if it won't drip when running), it's certainly not something I'd put in my backpack with confidence. It also has to be screwed in properly and tightly, otherwise water will start splashing all over the place when shaking.
