I was very pleasantly surprised by the product because I have curly hair and was worried that it wouldn't straighten my hair. I used the lowest temperature and it still straightened my hair. So they're not as smooth as a regular flat iron, but it could be because my ends need a trim. I also like the option of using only a hairdryer, so I can pre-blow dry my hair and then straighten it.
