It does what it’s supposed to; the ice compartment is smaller, as is the water compartment, so you need to top them up. The first time we used it for a weekend event, we were worried there wouldn’t be enough ice, so we started making a supply the day before and put it in the freezer; in the end, though, it wasn’t needed at all – the ice maker really does churn out ice quickly, and it’s more than enough for a normal number of people.
Compact dimensions, doesn’t take up much space
It makes ice really quickly, so the ice supply mentioned below isn’t really necessary for normal use
One minor drawback is the small ice and water reservoir, so you need to top it up regularly whilst making ice and store the ice elsewhere
The ice container isn’t very well insulated, so the ice doesn’t last very long in it; ideally, you should transfer it to another container, e.g. Put it in the freezer if you want to keep some in stock
The moment the pump broke down, all hell broke loose. Siguro probably has the worst authorised service centre. The first time, they returned the goods with the same fault; the second time, they returned them without the catch basket, and the entire reservoir leaked out onto the worktop. And it wasn’t coming from the drain valve. So, not anymore. I’d like a refund, and I’ll buy something else – and, more importantly, from somewhere else.
Both sizes of ice cubes fit into the Sodastream. It keeps making ice cubes, and if there’s a device inside, it won’t even defrost. It’s likely to be a lot worse at the sun party.
The design is poor (and, at the same time, similar to 90 per cent of the others); it has no handle, no thermal insulation, and the water drains out through the bottom in a most unpleasant way – which causes the appliance to tilt and water to spill inside, whilst the cable ends up in the sink: D – Unbelievable. Given the state of the market (where, logically, only one model has the desirable removable magazine) and the fact that I’ll only be using it occasionally, I went for the price and the compact size.
I bought at a great price with a coupon and I can't complain. Perhaps I would only criticize the worse thermal insulation (ice does not last long in the tray). It may be plastic, but it's harder to clean on stainless steel.
Has one job, does it nice. Good value for the price.
