The portafilter holder is made of quite soft plastic, so you need to insert it more carefully, but the portafilter fits in there OK.
Once the time is set and the dose is started, it remembers the grinding time.
I recommend weighing the coffee. I'm still fine-tuning this vs the coffee machine.

I had the grind size and time set so that the espresso machine extracted at 9–12bar, and after a few grinds, I had to adjust the grind size. All of a sudden, the coffee was flowing at about 6bar.
It took quite a bit of coffee before I got the hang of the process, but it's a combination of a new coffee machine and a grinder, and it simply can't be like a professional one in a café… you just have to play around with it.

Unfortunately, I can't confirm the positive experiences from the reviews here. The grind quality is simply not good. The coarse grind for V60 is visibly inconsistent. There are quite a lot of fines in the ground coffee, and at the same time some fairly large particles. Even my cheap manual grinder (Timemore C2) produces a better quality grind. Grinding at the finest setting is borderline for espresso, and the quality isn't great either.
If you aren't a barista and don't buy speciality coffee, you probably won't tell the difference and the grind quality will be sufficient for you. But compared to the reviews here, I was disappointed.
