I wanted to get a stand fan and chose this one.
The processing is classic white plastic, but strong and lightweight.
The base in the package has to be screwed on really tight and the power cable has to be pulled through it, otherwise there is a risk of creaking when oscillating as the fan body rubs against the cable and the base.
When properly assembled, one does not even notice that the fan oscillates.

The problem is - even the smallest speed is still fast and considerably loud by the standards of regular blade fans - so the speeds are fast - faster and fastest.
I don't know how the engineers from the GDR imagined it, but you definitely can't sleep with this one, although it does have a "sleep" mode. Then it has a "nature" mode where the fan speed alternates (low-high) and a normal mode where I don't notice any change from "sleep".
