The automatic cap is very gentle. All it takes is carelessness and it can break. Concentration must be used when pouring water.
After you put the kettle on the handle, you have to wait about a second before the power button works. Electronics are preventing you from doing so.
Glass, fine cap mechanics, electronic micro buttons, electronics. All this suggests that the kettle won't last 7 years like my all-metal last one.
