The thermostat setting is not working properly. The thermostat is set to 85 degrees. C switches off at a temperature of 75 degrees. C. I bought the preserving pot so that I wouldn’t have to keep an eye on the temperature. Unfortunately, with this pot, it’s a necessary evil. Keep adding or removing heat to get the temperature just right. You have to check it with an external thermometer… I could have just bought a pot with a thermometer for a few hundred and made preserves on the hob or in the oven, as I’ve always done. I'm returning the goods. Big disappointment.
