To be honest, it’s not a Lambo but more like a diesel Dacia – just a workhorse that just keeps on going and going and going.
But let’s be honest, it’s widely available when it comes to servicing in the Czech Republic; a Chinese car from Allegro sounds nice, but the servicing’s a right mess. As far as I’m concerned, I’m satisfied with the value for money. I wasn’t expecting it to be that big. It’s big and heavy, so if you live on the fourth floor without a lift, you’ll need to buy a gym membership.
The range is just brilliant – with my 73kg, riding 50/50 hills and flat terrain at 25km/h, I managed 61km. bearing in mind that it doesn’t have a regenerative braking system and you can coast downhill using the car’s momentum. In open mode at 46 km/h (the display won’t show any higher than 40 km/h), it can manage the 17 km journey to work and the 17 km back (all uphill on the way there) on a full charge; on returning home, 26% of the battery remains.
Ruggedness, dirt tracks, forest tracks at full throttle. It’s a close call, but nothing’s creaking after 490 km on the clock.
The headlights are shining like mad
Easy to use
The tyres grip well both off-road and on the road. Not in wet conditions: D
The brakes are absolutely vicious
The suspension – everyone’s moaning about how stiff it is, but I’ve had it fitted twice at home and both times it loosened up after about 200 km and it’s much better now. Anyone expecting third-generation Hydroactive for that price should just pay the extra 80,000 Kč.
Handling and manoeuvrability
Definitely the rear indicators – it’s better to signal with your foot (I wouldn’t dare do it with my hand)
Modern contoured grips. I couldn’t bring myself to do that, so I bought another one
The mudguards aren’t quite right – it does have them, but water splashes onto the spring at the back and there’s a mess, and at the front it splashes onto the cables leading to the deck; they’ve been sealed with silicone, but still… Sorted: 2 pieces of plastic from a canister and a screw cap
Adjust the headlights straight away – they’re a bit off from the factory, so both headlights are aimed at the centre.
The electric horn broke the very next day, but I’m not worried – it’s still got a bell
for the money I've seen better but apart from these faults I'm satisfied
rides
has suspension
the lights are totally shit. offroad scooter but they fall off after a few miles. it doesn't even have to be offroad, just a more broken road. lights wrapped in foil that can't withstand the strain.
the scooter shows a higher speed. I'm doing 25 on the gps and the wheelie shows 32. Same mileage.
