I used this 8TB HDD as a replacement for the 2TB HDD, which was already insufficient in capacity (I have SHR 3+4+6+8TB). Since I don' t have the NAS in my room, I can' t assess the noise of the disk, however, it is a minor upgrade in terms of speed (read 210 MB/s 184 IOPS, write 188 MB/s 470 IOPS - values from Synology)
I had 1TB discs, which I gradually started to replace with these, and eventually for games, and I found that the games are running faster on these discs than on the original ones with 7200 revolutions. So for me, satisfaction.
