This is version ST4000VN006, which has serious shortcomings compared to the previous version ST4000VN008. 1) Alza doesn't list the model number, even though it's a different product.
2) The disc has only 4 instead of 6 platters, so it heats up more (3-5°C more) and has noticeably different speeds
3) In RAIDZ arrays it behaves like an SMR drive, even though Seagate claims to use CMR

I don' t know why, I have these 2 drives in my NAS. Exactly the same. One goes 172 MB/s, the other 127 MB/s. Quite a difference. In addition, over 200 MB/s are declared. I won' t be buying them again.
