Someone's complaining about the noise level. I don't have that experience. On the other hand, the drive is very quiet.

Theoretically a great price for the claimed performance, 8 TB comes out only 200 CZK more than 8 TB Baracuda, formally the cheapest 8 TB drive, but it is slow, (5400 rpm vs 7200) has a worse type of formatting (SMR vs. CMR
and which has a lower fault tolerance (1 000 000/2 500 000 h). The EXOS x18 16TB is formally a performance/price supersingle on the market.
the sticker doesn't even remotely match the ad. It's not a glitch in functionality, but looks do their part.
Initially, neither in the BIOS nor in the system appeared present and slowed down the start of the system, after a series of reboots everything is already OK.
So far, the performance does not seem to match the claimed characteristics. We'll see.

CMR HDD with high capacity 16TB (so about 14.6TiB formatted). Very decent transfer speed (read/write) - 260/160 MB/s in the outer third of the platters, gradually decreasing to 130/100 MB/s on the inner 10% of the platters. The average seek time of 12ms is also an average value. The drive is a little noisy when running, you have to take that into account.

was a bit worried when disk as put in Alza box on in bubble wrap and antistatic bag. This seemed a little light for a mechanical disc.
