I don't understand the comments about the discs making a horrible loud sound. It's not true at all. I have them in RAID 1 and they make no loud sound when writing or reading any large small files. You have to consider that this series of drives is not at all suitable for running an operating system, but is made for data backup. For the operating system, choose an SSD ideally NVMe.
