The insert does not have a greater damping effect, it is more of a small addition to another insert. It is certainly not suitable for regular longer walks and independent use without another insole, it is definitely not an orthopedic option.

These are not shoe inserts at all but a gel pad that is not shaped or reinforced in any way. You put this under the insoles and it absorbs shock. But you won't find that in the description. It can't be used as a standalone shoe insert.
