I suppose it depends on what you want to use it for; it might be good for rougher jobs, but I didn’t find it worked very well for delicate work. Both adjustable supports are quite soft and give way under the slightest pressure. What’s more, the one on the belt can’t be adjusted without a spanner (the bolt can be tightened by hand, but the nut just spins); it’s almost impossible to set the exact angle. And it won’t make any difference anyway, because the plate that’s supposed to support the belt is set too far back relative to the pulley, so it grinds a wider arc at the bottom than the disc next to it if you’re using the support as a reference. Another annoyance is that a fair amount of the ground-off material flies out of the belt guard at the top straight into your face, but that would probably be sorted by connecting a vacuum cleaner to the extraction port. Even when adjusted perfectly, the belt on track I wobbles slightly; likewise, the pulley on the other side is positioned somewhat eccentrically. A lamp fitted with a cooker bulb seems to me to be more of a hindrance than anything else. ps: The description doesn’t mention the package dimensions or weight, but it’s bigger than you’d expect – picking it up from an Alzabox on foot (unless you’ve got one just round the corner) isn’t a good idea
