I had to improvise and cut a slightly larger ring with a smaller hole out of the old gasket, then fit it under the original seal – after that, everything was fine. I didn’t worry about the flow rate, as I had plenty of time (sometimes the water dripped, sometimes it ran), but I flushed it out with a syringe about once a day.
