The game is very nice to look at. It's not very competitive, everyone plays for themselves. The most that can happen is that you blow someone a card that the other person REALLY wanted. You're caring for monsters, so it's thematically suitable for girls. The rules are easy, so even a preschooler can play (better supervised by an older child). The scoring has very clear instructions, but it is quite complicated, so it is better not to score after the end of the game. Otherwise, the younger players automatically finish last and they are sorry.
Great game, I recommend it. I have played with my kids (10 and 7) many times.
