This is my first experience with a Radeon card. I had an Asus 3070 Strix which was the top edition, but this is obviously better. So far, no regrets. I'm still struggling a bit with the software. Adrenaline is hell.
The look, the card is just beautiful when the power cables aren't sticking out of it
Oversized cooling, it's quiet even under load around 60 degrees
Performance satisfaction, noise level not so much.
The coils squeak terribly under load. This seems to be a trend at Sapphire. Radeon VII beeped, Radeon 6900 XT beeped, and this card beeps. Next time I will try another brand.
I originally wanted a rtx 5080, they weren't after the release, and when they were, they were overpriced. I was considering the 5070ti, but again availability is tragic. And so I managed to snag this card in early March. I was a little worried at first, I never had an AMD card. I didn't like the power consumption either, after all 340 W is quite a lot. So I played around with the values in AMD Software for a few days and managed to undervolt the card by -65 mV and reduce power consumption by 20% without noticeable performance degradation. On the other hand, the core frequency has increased even more from some 3.1 GHz to 3.3 GHz, I have never seen temperatures higher than 65°C (the card is quite big, but the cooling is good, quiet and overall the card looks nice) and the power consumption is max 270W. During the use I didn't even notice any problems with the drivers, only the coils squeak a bit under load (nothing terrible for me). After 3 months of use, I can safely say that this card is a good bargain even in terms of price, when the performance is about the same as the 5070ti, which is still a few thousand more expensive. I was switching from the rtx 3070 I've had since late 2020, but was starting to have a problem with lack of memory (only 8GB). For 1440p gaming, this is a happy medium for me.
