the disk is nice, unfortunately that' s all. Western Digital (Sandisk) Extreme does not have a cable to connect to a Macbook with USBC. The disk comes formatted with an exe file: -) But the disk cannot be formatted to the APFS system or any other file system that can be used to back up a Macbook. It is said that only Big Sur is officially supported

It's small, which is great. It is made of hard plastic which is survivable given the price compared to other drives, but what is a problem is the speed. I don't know if I have a defective piece or if I'm doing something wrong but it's extremely slow. When I copy files from micro sd the disk is slower than the sd card. When I put it through the test, the fastest copy and read speed was 40mbs. That's a long way from the promised 500mbs. It's slower than the classic external hdd I also have.

I was quite disappointed. I went into it as an upgrade from my existing Samsung T5 500GB, but I probably should have gone back to Samsung. It's not rubberized at all, so I doubt the durability. But that wouldn't be so bad. What bothers me more is that it takes so long to connect. Then he's pretty fast.
