I bought two of these drives for my company (AGN). From the beginning, they were biting until finally the files were corrupted beyond repair, which has never happened to me on other drives. I also have a 2TB from this brand, this one works without problems. Probably a defective batch of 4TBs.

I use TimeMachine on macOS (M2) for backup, the speed is perfect. There is no point in buying the Pro variant because it runs "just as" fast as this type.
It gets very overheated after just a few seconds and I don't feel good about it at all. I copy longer videos to my PC first and then run them. I have a feeling this disc would boil over. I don't get it, because the un-rubberized predecessor to this LaCie 2TB drive remained icy calm even after a 4 hour video. I don't feel like this one is any better than the LaCie 2TB I don't see a progression in anything. It's a shame LaCie is no longer in production.
