I rate the Galaxy Watch 9 44 mm very positively. They have high-quality workmanship, a clearly readable display, smooth controls, and plenty of practical functions for everyday use and sports. I appreciate the good collaboration with my phone, the accurate activity tracking, and the solid battery life. The only downside is that the display slightly protrudes above the square bezel. This means the edge of the glass is more exposed to contact with its surroundings and might be more prone to scratching with careless use. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the watch and can recommend it.
Quality workmanship and modern design
Large and easy to read display
Smooth and fast control
Lots of functions for sport and activity tracking
Precise measurements and clear statistics
Works well with the phone
Solid battery life
Comfortable to wear, even all day long
The display is slightly raised above the square frame.
The edge of the display is therefore more exposed to contact with its surroundings and may be more susceptible to scratching.
After a few days of use, I have a very positive opinion of the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm. The watch is particularly impressive for its modern design, which I think is more successful than the previous Galaxy Watch7 generation. It looks elegant yet sporty on the wrist.
A big advantage is the soft and comfortable strap, which fits well even when worn all day. I was pleased with the weight of the watch; I barely notice it's on my wrist.
Another plus is the accurate health function tracking. The heart rate, sleep, and other health metrics work reliably and provide useful information about my fitness level.
A pleasant and soft strap
Nice design compared to the Galaxy Watch7
Low weight
High-quality measurement of health functions
The battery life is practically the same as the Galaxy Watch7, so there's no significant improvement here.
Excellent watch that does exactly what I want it to do and to use when running. They're lightweight, durable and absolutely excellent. Charging is quick and the apps and everything are absolutely excellent. I switched from a Garmin and it's absolutely brilliant.
I've upgraded to this watch from the Watch 4 and I must say it's a real leap forward, both in performance and looks. Compared to the Watch 4, the overall build quality is better. As for performance, it's incomparable to the Watch 4 – apps open instantly and the overall smoothness of the system is very good. I'd also like to highlight the battery life, which is significantly better than the Watch 4's.
I wanted a watch so I wouldn't have to hold my phone when I walk my dog. I can see the route map and control everything from the watch. I was really impressed by the gesture controls. When I'm travelling, I don't want to get my phone out at all because of theft, and with the watch, I can handle everything I need. It's comfortable to wear and I don't even notice it at night.
I've only been using the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 44mm for a short while, but so far I'm really happy with it. I wasn't expecting any kind of revolution, but for everyday use, I was surprised by how much it can make daily life easier. I upgraded from the Galaxy Watch Active2 and the difference was really noticeable. The Watch 9 is significantly faster, has a better and larger display, and just feels much more modern overall. The speed, in particular, is a pleasure – nothing lags unnecessarily and the touch response is instant. I mainly use it for notifications, checking the time, steps, heart rate, sleep, and sports activities. I've really grown to like the option to quickly reply to messages directly from the watch. You don't have to pull out your phone every time, which is a small thing, but it adds up during the day. For sports, I appreciate the GPS and the clear display of data overall. I also use the watch for workouts and cycling and so far I have no major reason to distrust the recordings. The 44mm size fits me well. The display is big enough for comfortable control, but the watch doesn't feel like some huge box on my wrist. The build quality is excellent and I like the design even for everyday wear to work. For me, the only major downside is the battery life. It's not bad, but if you use the watch actively, with GPS and tracking, you need to charge it quite often. It's nothing dramatic, it's just good to bear that in mind when planning longer sports activities. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the Galaxy Watch 9 44mm. It's not perfect, but as a daily smartwatch, it works exactly as I would expect. For me, it's a successful upgrade and I would definitely buy it again.
Nice, clean design
Excellent readability on the display, even in the sun
The improved BioActive sensor increases measurement accuracy, so I can rely on the results when exercising and monitoring my health. The extended battery life ensures my Galaxy Watch9 smartwatch can handle up to 30 hours of use with the display on from a single charge. By raising the watch, I can launch the Gemini voice assistant, which will start a timer for me, search for events in my calendar, and answer my questions naturally. The Galaxy Watch9 gives me a comprehensive overview of the quality of my sleep and provides recommendations that take my activity and daily habits into account. I can wholeheartedly recommend this watch to everyone!
I was hesitant about upgrading from the Galaxy watch 8, but the new health features eventually won me over. Overall, the watch is helping me eat and sleep better and exercise more. I'd like to highlight that the Fitness Index shows how my body is doing and, in the weekly mission, it also recommends specific YouTube workouts and simultaneously starts recording the exercise on the watch. When recording a walk, the watch now even estimates whether the body was burning sugars or fats.
They look the same as the previous model, so my wife hasn't figured out that I've splashed out on a new watch: )
Same dimensions as the previous model = the strap and protective glass for the Galaxy Watch 8 work
Brilliant health features. The watch helps me eat and sleep better and exercise more.
I upgraded to the Galaxy Watch 9 from the Galaxy Watch 7, which I used every day. The biggest difference I notice is in the health monitoring. While with the Watch7 I mainly tracked steps, heart rate, sports, and sleep, the Watch9 gives me a much better overview of my recovery and overall body condition.
I most appreciate the more detailed sleep tracking, night-time heart rate, recovery score, and the morning Energy overview, which helps me better recognise when it's a good day for activity and when it's better to slow down. A big plus for me compared to the Watch7 is also the AGEs index, ECG, and blood pressure measurement.
During sports, I have a better overview of my heart rate and exertion. I also like the design – the 44mm version has a beautifully clear display, looks more elegant and premium than the Watch7, and goes well with both sportswear and casual clothes.
The only downside I see is the battery life when using all the health functions. Overall, for me, the Galaxy Watch9 is a significant step forward – it's no longer just a smartwatch, but a practical assistant that helps me take better care of my health.
