I used the Samsung Galaxy4 for many years, the new model is a lot faster. It has better touch response. It's very comfortable to wear on my wrist. So far, I see the change positively and I'm looking forward to the new functions as I slowly upload the data.

The watch feels very pleasant to the touch, the apps switch over very briskly, and the 3000-nit display visibility is more than sufficient. Unlike other reviews here, I find the battery life is also good – it's perfectly adequate for all-day trips, as no one expects to have all functions fully engaged. I don't see any negatives (so far).

The watch is well-made, the design is unusual and so it's a matter of subjective opinion whether it's nice or not. The system is very smooth and stable – so far I haven't experienced any lag or freezing. The battery life is what you'd expect from a smartwatch for everyday use, so around 24 hours depending on usage (for anyone switching from a Garmin watch that you charge once every 10–14 days, this will be one of the main things to get used to), charging from 0% to 100% takes about 1.5 hours. The interface has a nice design, it's fast, smooth and intuitive. You can navigate the menu using standard gestures and scrolling, similar to on a phone, or you can use the software bezel (by swiping your finger along the edge of the watch face) to scroll through apps, which works with good responsiveness. Pairing was hassle-free, even with a non-Samsung phone (OnePlus) – the connection is made using the Wearable app, which, in addition to pairing, is also used for all sorts of watch and app settings. As for apps – there are pre-installed Samsung apps (I consider it a minus that you can't remove the Samsung apps you don't use). The range of 3rd party apps is rather small – the basic Google apps are available as standard (Gmail, Keep, Maps, Google Wallet, YT Music) – the compatibility is very good. However, with the basic apps on the watch and the available 3rd party apps, all the fundamental needs for daily use are comfortably covered. Notifications from apps on the phone work regardless of whether you have the given app downloaded on the watch; they are easy to browse and are clearly sorted by app (so it's not just one list of notifications from all apps, but each app has its own list of notifications that you can easily swipe between). The apps for tracking activities and sports are clear and intuitive – they automatically detect the start of an activity, and if you pause the activity, the tracking stops until you start the activity again or end it completely. The resulting summary is nicely graphically processed, including a plot of the route on a map using GPS (there are slight inaccuracies in densely built-up areas or in the woods), and more detailed information about the activity is also available, which will be sufficient for the average person (average speed, heart rate, heart rate zones, calories burned, cadence, etc.).

I've bought a Samsung watch for the very first time, so unfortunately I have no comparison and am just rating it as a layman and an undemanding user. They have a great design, the display is just the right size, but after the first few charges, I'm finding that it takes a bit longer than I'd like. I'm still trying out the other features.

I upgraded from the Watch 5 40mm and the difference is really noticeable. The display is large and clearly legible even in direct sunlight. The system is also snappy, but that was the case with the Watch 5 too, so only time will tell how the watch holds up after a few years. What I have to praise is the system for attaching the straps to the watch; compared to the previous generation, taking them off and putting them on is a doddle. However, it would be better if the longer part of the original silicone strap tucked under the shorter part, like with the previous generation. The battery is a bit of a letdown, it doesn't have the stamina you'd hope for given it's 445mAh. We can only hope a system update will fix it. Wireless charging is slow, and the original charging pad for a phone, watch, and headphones is unusable because of the charging speed.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 (44mm, silver) offers an elegant design and a top-notch display with perfect readability even in the sun. The system is lightning-fast and activity tracking is accurate. However, the main drawback is the battery life. Even with this non-LTE version, I have to charge the watch practically every day with notifications on and occasional sports with GPS. The included strap could also be more breathable, as my wrist gets quite sweaty underneath it. Despite the need for frequent charging, I don't regret the purchase; as a whole, it works brilliantly.

My Watch5 has now gone to silicon heaven after many years of heavy, rough, daily use. So, it was time for the latest generation, which will have it just as tough with me. Nevertheless, from my brief time using the Watch9, where you can really only describe your first impressions, I can say this. The feel on the wrist. A much better shape and weight distribution, it fits better and at times you feel as if it's not even there. Display and performance. Excellent, in my opinion, everything runs smoothly. Sensors. All the geeks, like me, who love collecting various data will be pleased with the new health features (AGEs Index, Antioxidant Index, vascular load, etc.). Now for one annoying thing. When you take the watch off and want to put it on the charger, its design makes it stick out awkwardly and it tends to "sit on the strap". So the charger hangs in the air; if you have a Samsung 3-in-1 wireless charger like I do, you simply can't get the watch to sit on it. The design of how the strap attaches to the watch is completely different from the Watch5, which makes it more comfortable to wear, but then causes these problems with placing the watch on the charger. Perhaps it will be better with a different strap. In conclusion, I can say that even after this short period of use, I'm satisfied so far, the first impression is positive, and the watch feels robust and well-made.
Fits well on the wrist, a better shape than the Watch5.

Compared to the older Watch5, the larger display is noticeable at first glance, even though the stated size of 44mm is the same. The watch itself is physically a little bigger but less thick. The bottom part containing the sensors doesn't stick out and doesn't press into your wrist. The side buttons are placed more towards the centre and are harder to press. The included strap is a disappointment; I found it really uncomfortable, and it didn't even hold the watch properly. And thanks to the new attachment method, it's not possible to use old straps. Charging with the included charger seemed the same to me. However, the watch has a slightly different shape on the underside and doesn't sit properly on old chargers. This results in longer charging. I can't comment on the battery yet as I haven't tried it under more demanding conditions. For regular notifications, health monitoring, and dictation to Gemini, it's the usual "up to two days", which in practice is a day and a half. The watch's software itself is fast and responds instantly. There are lots of minor improvements, but overall, nothing major. Restoring settings from an older backup saved a lot of setup time, although 3rd-party apps and the watch face needed to be configured manually.

I upgraded from the original Galaxy Watch 1, so there were a lot of new features for me. Overall, I'm happy with the watch. It seems delicate at first, but it's already survived a few knocks and there's nothing wrong with it so far. The display is slightly raised from the body of the watch. I'd expect some cracks there after a while if you're not really careful. I would recommend getting a protective case for it. The buttons, for me, are pushed too far to the side of the watch's body. They used to be positioned at approximately a 45-degree angle and were easier to reach. They could also have a slightly longer press. The watch interface is well set up, you can configure a lot of functions on it and the interaction is snappy. Taking calls, writing text messages, or just reacting to messages are standard on smartwatches these days. Unfortunately, there was no Classic version this year. I assume that will be out next year with the new model. The bezel is touch-sensitive again, whereas on the aforementioned Watch 1, the physical bezel was a great feature. I've only had the watch for a short time (since 6/8/2026), so I don't have much experience yet and these are just my first impressions. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to people who have an older model than the Watch 7 and want to stay within the Samsung ecosystem.
