After a few days of use, I can say that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has really pleasantly surprised me. The watch has a premium feel, it's fast, and everything runs completely smoothly. What I appreciate most is the battery life, which is very good compared to standard smartwatches (I had an Apple Watch series 11), the beautifully clear display even in direct sunlight, and the accurate tracking of sports and health functions. Notifications, paying with the watch, and navigation also work brilliantly. If you have a Samsung phone, the whole ecosystem works without any problems. To be fair, though, there were a few things I'd criticise. The watch is quite large and heavy, so it might not suit everyone. You get its full potential mainly with a Samsung phone; with other brands, you lose some features. Also, the price isn't exactly low, and I could imagine the charging being a bit faster. Overall, though, I am very satisfied with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Despite minor flaws, I think it's one of the best smartwatches for Android, and I would recommend buying it without hesitation to anyone looking for a durable and powerful watch for sports and everyday use.

Order 1051 616 714. I received the watch in a relatively small box. The watch and the strap were separate. The appearance was no surprise. In my opinion, it's an unattractive square with a round watch face inside. They were supposed to be silver. They are more grey. Silver would have suited them much better. Everyone has different requirements and likes different things. I would have preferred a rectangular shape.
- Compared to the predecessor, I was pleased with the larger display and its brightness. There's no problem at all with visibility in bright sunlight, even with sunglasses.
- The watch is also slimmer and fits quite well on the wrist
- The green strap is softer than its predecessor and isn't as thick either
- Very diverse settings - classic Samsung
- The system speed is exemplary, you don't have to wait for anything
- The glass is sapphire, so I expect it won't get scratched
- In my opinion, a rectangular shape would suit the watch better
- The strap attachment is like Samsung's, meaning you can't just replace the strap with any old one.
- The watch has a larger battery, but this hasn't yet resulted in it lasting half as long again.

Longer battery life, increasing the battery size to 800mAh is really noticeable.
The beautiful Super AMOLED display with a brightness of 5,000 nits has gorgeous colours.
The display is very easy to read in the sun.
Excellent waterproof properties, 40 metres in saltwater is a massive plus, as is the resistance to hot water.
The watch is made, as always, from a premium material. Titanium is very durable and light.
A pleasant change in the thickness of the watch, it's more comfortable to wear and looks better.
The new Snapdragon Wear Elite processor makes the system run quickly and smoothly.
The strap is thinner, more comfortable to wear and easier to fasten.
I really like the silver version of the watch with the olive-coloured strap.
It maintains the watch's shape, which is very interesting and unusual.
Activate Google Gemini by simply raising your hand.
Wear OS 6 operating system, One UI Watch9 extension.
As always, I'm completely satisfied with Samsung products.
I change my Samsung watch model every year and I'm really impressed with this one.
LTE, eSIM option, and if you use Samsung Connect, you can have the same phone number on the watch.
NFC payment.
New functions added, improved health features.
Sapphire glass.
Perhaps a little on the pricey side, but I'm happy to pay extra for quality products.
It could have a rotating bezel, but everything is easy to control without it.
It's a shame the package doesn't include a spare strap in a different colour, I'll have to buy one separately.
The charging might be a bit slow, but I think it's fine anyway.

After a few days of using the Galaxy Watch Ultra2, I can say it's not just a cosmetic evolution, but a watch that is noticeably better in everyday use than my previous Galaxy Watch Ultra. The biggest surprise for me is the battery life. Compared to the previous generation, I'm getting almost triple the usage time, so I no longer have to worry about the charger every other day. This is exactly the kind of change you appreciate every single day. The second thing that literally surprised me right after putting it on for the first time is its lower weight and overall comfort. The watch feels significantly lighter and much more comfortable on the wrist. The difference is noticeable immediately – not just during sports, but also during all-day wear or while sleeping. Samsung has redesigned the construction and the strap to make the watch thinner and more comfortable. The display has also taken a huge step forward. It's larger, significantly brighter, and perfectly legible in direct sunlight. The jump from 3,000 to 5,000 nits is really visible in practice, and information is readable under any conditions. I was also pleased with the new features and faster system response. The watch feels snappier, new sports and health functions have been added, and overall, it's more pleasant to use than the first generation. If you already own a Galaxy Watch Ultra, you might think there aren't many changes. I thought so too. But the moment I started wearing the Ultra2 every day, I changed my mind. The longer battery life, lower weight, greater comfort, and significantly better display are precisely the features that have the biggest impact on daily use. For me, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is the best smartwatch Samsung has ever made, and I definitely don't regret upgrading from the first generation.
Almost three times the battery life – the biggest difference, which you'll appreciate on longer trips away from civilisation.
Significantly lower weight – the difference is noticeable immediately after putting it on for the first time.
The watch is much more comfortable for all-day wear and also for sleeping.
Brighter display – excellent readability even in direct sunlight.
Improved functions – new options for health, sport and everyday use.
A faster and smoother system that feels snappier overall.
Compatibility of straps from the previous version
Higher price – Samsung makes you pay for the latest features.
Almost identical in appearance to the previous generation – if you're expecting a significant design shift, you'll be disappointed

After about six years of faithful service, it was time to send my old Samsung Galaxy Watch Classic 4 (46mm) into its well-deserved retirement. Recently, it was struggling to last even a single full day, and the overall system response was noticeably jerky and laggy. The decision to upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has proven to be an incredible leap forward. The first thing that immediately blows you away is the speed and smoothness of the system. Everything responds instantly without a single hesitation, browsing menus is a joy, and apps open in a flash. The difference in processing power compared to the Watch 4 generation is simply vast. Another huge step up is the battery life. Forgetting the daily evening stress with the charger is a liberating feeling. The watch handles demanding use, activity tracking, and sleep monitoring with ease for several days. The construction feels extremely durable and solid, the display is perfectly readable even in direct sunlight, and the health and sports sensors measure with significantly higher accuracy. Even though I missed the iconic physical rotating bezel from the Classic model a bit at first, the top-notch performance, massive battery, and robust titanium body quickly convinced me that this was the best possible choice.

I missed the physical rotating bezel at first, but Samsung has replaced it with a "software" rotating bezel, so I'm finding it won't even be a downside in the end and I believe I'll get used to it quickly.

I bought the new Samsung Watch Ultra 2 because I had the previous Ultra generation. Although I was happy with it, this new one is amazing. The new strap that comes with the Ultra 2 watch has been precisely improved. The watch and the strap don't dig in like the last generation did after a while. The watch sits comfortably on the wrist. After turning it on, the watch's start-up and responsiveness are noticeably, visibly faster. The touch response and movement are smooth without any stuttering.
The best screen brightness in the sun. The start-up and reactions of the watch are noticeably visible.
Doesn't dig into my hand at all, comfortable.
A second strap could have been included.

I'll start with the data transfer, which basically doesn't work. You can't go a step back in the process, and your old watch is disconnected from Bluetooth the moment you connect the new one. Overall, it's a very poorly executed feature. In the end, I had to set up the watch as a new device from scratch. Without asking, the setup guide tried to automatically transfer the eSIM from my phone; luckily my network operator blocked it. The design and controls of the watch are exactly the same as the previous two Ultra models. So don't expect any changes. You'll only notice the absolutely minimal difference in thickness if you have both watches on your wrist next to each other. Similarly, the minimal increase in display size isn't really noticeable. What is a bit more noticeable is the display brightness; its readability in direct sunlight is excellent. Both compared to the previous model and compared to all other manufacturers. The second thing that caught my eye is the strap. It's more delicate, more flexible, feels much more comfortable to wear, and my wrist sweats less under it. It's just a bit harder for me to fasten, but that's probably just a matter of getting used to it. The straps are still compatible between all three versions: the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra1, 2025 and Ultra 2. My measurements show the new watch charges at 5.2W, while the previous Galaxy Watch Ultra shows 3.5W. So the charging itself has indeed been sped up. But, thanks to the larger battery capacity, it takes basically the same amount of time as the original watch. This is a problem, especially for those who want to wear it for 24/7 health monitoring. For me, the best option is to wear this watch during the day and for sports, and the Samsung Ring overnight (if it were available, which it currently isn't). The Samsung GW Ultra 1 also charges on the new charger and vice versa, the new one charges on the old charger, just more slowly. Back to the battery, with very active use, including regular sports, it now works out to charging every other day instead of every day. The hardware, including the chip, is harder to evaluate. The system is smooth and responds very quickly when it's new. We'll see, of course, as time goes on and it gets bloated. Unfortunately, the storage capacity hasn't gone anywhere; it's still 64GB, and you can only use LTE and Spotify for shorter exercise sessions. Because if you combine it with running, GPS, LTE, and music playback, the battery percentage plummets very quickly. The software features seem to be the weakest point for me so far. Yes, you can of course install third-party apps, but then you fall out of the ecosystem, which is exactly what you don't want. If you want to use a Samsung ring/watch/phone, you want the required functionality to be in the Health app or its connected apps. And this is where I see the least progress. From my running perspective, for example, I absolutely don't understand why the watch doesn't have features that are completely standard today. The coach is basically not customisable to function like any chatbot where you enter your inputs and it generates your workouts. Here, it has more than half of all your data available, but the selection options are almost zero. When I want to run a race, I have no option at all to preset and monitor my pace on the road, upload a GPX file, nothing. I can only have it tell me about 10 different pieces of information, either by kilometre or by minute. Yet for trail running, there's at least something (and for cycling/hiking too). But the reality of even the 'trail' running is again rather disappointing. The idea that I could, for example, upload it to OneDrive and then select it directly in the app is out of the question. Okay, even with a more complicated procedure, I managed to generate a GPX in mapy.cz, upload it to the phone's storage via OneDrive, and then import it. The first disappointment was the map; it loads some grey map in the background on which you can see basically nothing. No streets, no terrain markers, no labels, nothing. The map can't be zoomed in or out; after a few minutes, I managed to pan it without switching to another running screen. So it's completely uncontrollable while running. It offers basically no quick orientation in the terrain, whether I'm in the city or outside it, so it loses its purpose. Only the audio navigation works. I compared the heart rate measurement with a chest strap; in Z1-Z4 the deviation was +-1bpm, which I consider an excellent result in terms of accuracy. What's worse is that you still can't connect a chest strap to the watch. Yet today's modern chest straps provide lots of data that needs to be collected directly from the torso for advanced sports metrics. Blood pressure again doesn't work without initial calibration. According to the documentation, however, the biggest flaw of the watch remains: this calibration is required every 28 days. This is the price for it meeting the standards of a medical device ☹ And it is also one of the most annoying things for the user. For example, you go on holiday somewhere, the next day your watch beeps that your calibration has expired, and you're out of luck for the rest of your holiday. Overall summary It's a perfect watch from a hardware perspective. It has a fairly well-tuned system for work-office use and communication. It has above-average software for life functions and health. And it has a very neglected software component for athletes, especially in this price category. So it's still a big compromise for athletes whether to stay in the Samsung ecosystem, which in this area is still far from matching the competition.
Top HW
Extended battery life
Perfect readability in sunlight
A much more comfortable strap
Price/performance ratio
Unfinished SW functions
The sports functions can't be compared to the competition.
