The look is similar, but it's slightly thinner, and in a direct comparison, the display is visibly larger. The advantage is greater resistance to water/diving and the option to buy third-party straps, which are significantly cheaper. I am satisfied with the watch and its functions.

After the first few days with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, I have to praise how well the watch sits on my wrist. Despite its durability and outdoor focus, the body feels pleasantly compact and balanced, and it doesn't get in the way during everyday wear or exercise.
The grey design has turned out really well – the titanium finish in this shade looks clean, premium, and technically precise. A great functional and visual detail is the numbers on the bezel, which give the watch the right sporty character and ensure it's instantly readable at a glance. The craftsmanship of the case and the overall ergonomics are exactly at the level I'd expect from a top-tier model.
I had the Watch 8 and they were great, except for the battery life, which was 24 hours max, so I got the Watch Ultra 2. It has a faster charger and high-quality construction. There are only two colour options, and the original straps are expensive. It has Wear OS and lots of apps. The only thing that's annoying me so far is that you can't change the bottom button, which has the Samsung Wallet function that is unavailable here. After years in the Apple ecosystem, I must admit that Samsung has come very close.
I see the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 as a significant upgrade from my Watch 5 Pro. The watch completely meets my expectations, I can make calls from it even without my phone, which is useful in everyday situations when I don't have my phone to hand. The call quality is also noticeably better than the previous model; the voice is clearer and less distorted. The display is snappier and responds without any stuttering even when scrolling through the menu quickly, and thanks to its size, it's also much more comfortable to use – hitting the right item with your finger is easier than on the smaller display of the Watch 5 Pro.

Although Samsung has increased the battery capacity, in reality, I'm still only getting around 2–3 days of battery life with normal use, which is a letdown for a model labelled 'Ultra'. The second major downside for me is the continued absence of the physical rotating bezel. On previous models, this was the best control feature, and in my opinion, the touch version simply can't fully replace it. Overall, though, the positives outweigh the negatives. The system is great, and I can recommend the watch, as long as you're prepared for more frequent charging.

I find it most useful thanks to the wide range of health functions. The continuous heart rate monitoring is particularly invaluable to me, as it significantly helps me during sports and for monitoring my exertion levels. The only minor drawback is that it measures skin temperature only during sleep and not continuously throughout the day or manually. Overall, though, it's an excellent choice, I recommend it!
