I was pleasantly surprised by the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G. The phone has a beautiful, large display, it runs quickly and smoothly, and the battery easily lasts the whole day. The camera takes nice and sharp photos, which I especially appreciate when taking pictures of my family and everyday snapshots. I also like the elegant design, low weight and the overall pleasant handling. For me, it's a very well-made phone for everyday use and I would definitely recommend it.
For me, the Samsung A57 is mainly about speed – unlike the A33, nothing lags, even when I have lots of tabs open in the browser. The battery lasts all day, and fast charging is a nice bonus. I like the eSIM support, but on the other hand, it's missing the SD card slot which I used on the A33. The new model is bigger, which is more of a minus for me. The in-display reader works, but sometimes I have to put my finger on it more than once. Similarly with NFC – some terminals don't respond as well as they used to. Both phones have long-term support and regular updates, which I appreciate. The A57 also has the added bonus of the current cashback offer.
I chose the Samsung A57 as a replacement for my 5-year-old POCO. And I have to say that, in my case, there’s been an improvement in every respect.
A beautiful display, a very fast system response, a decent camera and a very well-executed design. When you add to that the promise of system updates for six years, this phone is just perfect for me.
However, I do have a few criticisms – they aren’t major, but they are a bit of a hindrance. I miss wireless charging. For a phone in this price range, I would have expected a lower battery capacity; cheaper models from other manufacturers offer a higher capacity.
Overall, however, I rate the phone very highly, both in terms of functionality and design.
I bought the phone quite recently and I'm both excited and a little disappointed about it. The phone as such looks elegant, it is excellently processed, powerful enough, has a good display, good sound, sufficient battery life, simply in terms of hardware it meets everything I wanted from it. I am much less enthusiastic about the software. The phone has apps for everything - Bigsby Assistant, Samsung Wallet, Samsung Keyboard, and so on. It wouldn't be a bad thing if the apps had real Czech support in addition to a translated user interface. The default Bigsby doesn't understand Czech, so you'll probably swap it out for Google Assistant very quickly. Samsung Wallet does not support credit cards in the Czech Republic, so you need to install Google Wallet. But with Google Wallet on Samsung phones, you can't set it up so that you have to unlock the phone first for NFC payments. And that means you'll either be turning on NFC manually, or if you lose the phone, anyone will be able to pay with it even with the screen locked. Samsung Keyboard is decent, but voice input in English just doesn't work (you need to switch it to Google voice input).
Not to knock the software, you also have features that other brands' phones don't have. For example, I really like the Modes and Routines for automating tasks on the phone. The AI features for photos and video are also interesting. And I liked the app to transfer data from my old phone.
In summary, Samsung apps are good, but not everything works in the Czech Republic. The phone has long support for updates (6 years), so I hope they decide to do something about the support for other countries and languages. From the official Czech distribution I really expected better functionality of the software in the Czech Republic.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 is a mid-range phone that feels almost like a lower-tier flagship. The synergy with other Galaxy products (if you have them) is a definite plus. One UI, the same gestures, the same settings, the same AI features, and a seamless data transfer from another Samsung (by the way, Smart Switch can do this from other phones too). The basic apps (Notes, Gallery) are still some of the best on Android, and are more than enough for the average user (= a family member who doesn't want any hassle). The 5000mAh battery with 45W charging gets you through a normal day without stress and charges respectably fast. The 6.7" 120Hz AMOLED display is bright, sharp, and easy on the eyes. The body is slim and light at under 180 grams. The aluminium frame feels significantly more premium than its plastic competitors, although most people will just shove it in a case anyway :) Add to that IP68 and the promise of six years of updates – that's still an advantage in 2026. The camera is the weak point. It still has the same 50MP main sensor + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro. There's no optical zoom at all, so the zoom is only digital and the quality drops quickly. It's great in daylight, but in the evening and for details, it lags behind what you'd expect for the price of the phone. Overall, it's an excellent everyday phone. The A57 makes sense – the design, software, and battery life are nice, but the camera is a compromise from the previous generation.

My husband bought me the Galaxy A57 5G phone because my old one had given up the ghost. I really like the design and the colour. The phone is lightweight, elegant, user-friendly and well-made. The glossy finish of the phone caught my eye straight away, and the powerful camera takes quality photos. The quality and clarity of the colours are stunning. The phone has exceeded my expectations and it's a step in the right direction from my old model.
I've only had the Samsung Galaxy A57 for a short time, but my first impressions are very good. The phone feels high-quality, it has a nice and easy-to-read display, it's zippy and the battery life is decent. I also appreciate the great camera and the simple and straightforward controls overall. For the price, it offers a very good balance of features and quality. I'm happy with my purchase so far.
