So far we have a short time, about 2 weeks. Physically putting the robot into operation is quite cool. The robot is controlled by the buttons on the ronot itself (Home, on/off the robot) or through the application, where some basic robot settings are also possible, see the description of the application below. I chose this vacuum cleaner mainly because of its height. I went through a lot of them on various reviews and there was always a big plus and also a minus. It' s probably mainly about what one prefers, or how many obstacles are in the room. Originally I wanted a robot with laser navigation, thanks to which it should orient itself in space more accurately, but due to the height and lower price, we went with gyroscopic navigation and this vacuum cleaner looked interesting. It' s our first, so we have experience for the future. App:
Downloading an application in which you choose your type of vacuum cleaner and accordingly you have a version of the application available to you, which seems hackneyed to me - a star down for that. You need to register if you do not already have an account with another product from Rowenta or from another affiliated brand.
In the application, you can set the strength of the suction, how it will vacuum, spirally, only corners or smart. Through the application, it is possible to pause the vacuum cleaner, search for it (the vacuum cleaner starts to beep) or charge it, which means that it will go into the house. The battery status of the robot is also available.
There is also a history, where it is indicated - when, how long, the method vacuumed and m2.
It is possible to set a “schedule“ in the application, where it is possible to schedule the launch. That' s fine, I run it over the weekend in the morning before I get up (and if there' s a problem, it says: D).
Then there is a section in the application dedicated to maintenance, where the procedure for cleaning the individual parts is given quite nicely.
Probably nothing interesting in the application settings - robot name, themes, notification management, account, newsletters, personal data, legal information, support.
During operation (the robot is vacuuming), the application shows where it is and what it has already vacuumed, but there is a delay, i.e.it takes a while before the current status is loaded, and sometimes the last vacuuming or only a part is still displayed, even though he' s done more than that. Every time you start the vacuum cleaner, the map is deleted and the robot starts again. It is not possible to send the robot to a specific location or to vacuum a specific room. It doesn' t even have a virtual wall available (so we solve this by closing the door to the room or putting some kind of obstacle). Vacuum cleaner:
Starting it up and vacuuming it for the first time was quite an experience. He was driving very confused, bumping into everything (mostly). Fortunately, the part around the robot is very flexible, so he didn' t hurt himself or the things around him: D At the next start, it was already controlled according to the settings in the application - set to smart. Even though it has already been launched several times and vacuumed individual rooms, it still happens that we hear or see it bump into something. Sometimes, on the contrary, it stops unnecessarily early and could have gone a little further to the edge and vacuumed, but for that, the “along the wall“ mode was probably specially designed. Sometimes I put it along the wall first so that it maps the boundaries of the space and then I start the “smart“ mode, I think it vacuums a little better then.
It also happens that he vacuums some places or rooms repeatedly. So we have to manually transfer him to another room or create artificial obstacles for him and thereby direct him to another place (where he was not).
The robot does not speak when it gets tangled in something (e. g. cables) or gets lost or runs into the house, then it starts to whistle and the app shows what the problem is. What surprised me unpleasantly was that the vacuum cleaner, even if it was in the office. it is stated on the website that he should overcome a threshold of up to 1.6 cm, so he has a problem with our 0.7 cm and we have to help him. Sometimes he succeeds, other times he looks like a child who is trying to climb out but can' t. What I have to praise is the height of the robot, which (according to the manufacturer, I didn' t measure) is 6 cm, which is great and it really fits everywhere, even under the couch, where I didn' t expect it. he found a path on the side and vacuumed nicely under the couch. As for the suction itself, so satisfied. We have it set to “standard“. When we increase the vacuuming power, the vacuum cleaner speeds up and when we reduce “(“ECO“), it slows down. It has two side rotating brushes and one in the middle. Cleaning the robot:
The availability of a trash can is fine. You can simply disconnect the filter and empty the container and rinse it under water as needed. The other components can also be cleaned quite easily (a brush is also included). Mopping function:
