After washing, it is a good idea to remove the cleaning brush/roller and let it dry or even wash it. Even if the vacuum cleaner has a self-cleaning function, the roller will always remain damp.
I wouldn't change it either way.
My favorite home appliance. The floor can be just a quick swipe with it when I don't have a night to spare, or a really "grunt" wash when I have the time and care. It depends on how long one stays in one place, and whether I put the power at maximum or automatically. At maximum, the water in the tank is used up faster, but the tank seems sufficient, I don't want to carry a litre of water with me.
We use it several times a day, mainly to clean up after the kids eat (the younger ones are just learning). Far better than bending over with a rag or pulling a mop.
