It meets all my needs. (DisplayPort to DVI conversion)
For some, maybe a resolution hitch (max 1920x1080)

I was looking for a cheap solution to connect a DVI monitor to a DP docking station. Normally, it can work.
It doesn't work as well as I need it to (but it's not just the cable's fault). In principle, these cables work by telling the graphics to send a DVI signal instead of a DP signal (max 1920x1200 - limited by the graphics), so they don't need to have any electronics in them. Unfortunately, it turns out that laptop docks now often have two displayports plugged into a hub from one displayport, and when you have two 1920x1200 monitors and one through that cable, the hub may not tighten up anymore.
So if you want to connect a second monitor to a dock with DP, you'd better choose an active converter (or rather replace the monitor, because it might cost the same).

Flexible cable, which is enough for basic (FullHD) use.
It won't transfer 2560x1080, nor 2560x1440, and thus won't transfer 2560x1600, which is a pretty bad reputation for a display port reducer. I preferred not to try 4k.

The cable fulfils what was expected of it
The price seems a bit exorbitant to me.
