We ran the Concept kettle, an older model, for several years - about 7-8. Daily use and no problems. Eventually the contact on the kettle broke and also the washer. All within one week. In the older model, the buttons for opening the lid and for fastening were on top of each other and it was a bit confusing what was what. With the newer model, this problem is no longer a problem - see pluses.
