The insert works so that when the key is inserted from the other side, it turns the key until they are both in exactly the same position. The two halves of the insert are then connected and from that point on both keys are turned simultaneously.
hard-copy key
works as expected, indeed the key can stay inserted from the other side
thanks to technology, sometimes it is necessary to make a full turn more
the key inserted from the other side also turns
