I wanted to like this iron, but for a long time it has bothered me that Remington can' t make an iron that will be as nice from all sides as from the top. It is no coincidence that all irons are photographed from only one side. The latter is just the bare matte plastic and it applies to all models. First of all, it bothers me because of the maintenance, because this side gets dirty, and I was even more afraid of it with this color, in addition, when I plan to dye my hair brown and often make waves. And secondly, I find it sloppy that one side looks 10/10 and the other 2/10. It' s a shame, otherwise it would be an unbeatable iron. It was with a heavy heart that I returned it, but I would have felt like a fool to accept such a half-assed job at this price.
I have been using Remington irons for years and so far I have always been very satisfied. But this iron is a maximum disappointment. Since my hair is quite unruly, I usually iron it at 230-235°C. This model has a maximum temperature of 230°, which of course would be great if it didn't start to scorch at that temperature. From the first time I turned it on, I smelled the unbearable smell of sunburn, which of course I "rubbed" on my hair. I used the iron about 3 times, but it was enough. I'm returning the product.
