We purchased this mat to protect the wood laminate floor in our apartment from constant chair scraping in high-traffic area. The mat works perfect — very sturdy even under chair legs with 140kg weight. The edge stitching is strong and well-made. And the underside has a water-repellent lining — if you spill water it will not soak thru mat — making it easy to clean! Generally, it doesnt slide too much.. but it slides easily enough if you want; otherwise consider some double sided carpet tape if you need this to be immobile / securely fixed in one spot. Recommend: Purchase for a more attractive alternative to clear platic mat.
