I purchased the bike to upgrade parts from an old 29'' MTB. In original condition it is fully sufficient ebike for trips on paved and max. field/forest roads where a comfortable spring fork is sufficient. The original cartridge does not have the range for use in hillier terrain. After upgrading for about 2500, - CZK to a cassette and Microshift Acolyte shifting (it fits on the original walnut) and installing an air fork from the old bike, the Ratikon became a full-fledged XC ebike, functionally it is comparable to ebikes of "renowned" brands in the price category of 40 - 60.000 CZK. The most surprising thing was the refined drive of the Vinka and the battery, which at my 100kg easily lasted about 55km in difficult terrain (Beskydy) and with lighter use on asphalt even the declared 80km. It would be useful to stock up on spare batteries, but then who would buy more expensive bikes, right: ).

It's my first electric bike, I'm a layman - and Ratikon grabbed me by the heart. It fits in my hand and feels safe. I've only done 110km, but I'm thrilled - especially at 50 years old I don't have to physically and mentally abuse myself on hills anymore. It is quiet and the start-up is smooth, no "kick" forward. It's easy to handle, speed 1 is enough on the flat, and the battery is easy to remove. And the saddle is really comfortable, despite the winter break my butt didn't hurt after the first rides: -)

The RATIKON 9.1 size M with 29 wheels is quite tall for my partner (167 cm). I might consider buying a smaller bike for that height (RATIKON 7.1 M with 27.5 wheels).
For recreational riding even off the tarmac, the price-performance ratio is ideal
The mid-motor is quiet, reasonably powerful and really helps perfectly when going uphill
Low mileage so far, but seems to be perfectly fine

I have driven about 1500km without a single problem
the battery lasts 100km, depending on where you ride
basic equipment, but for normal riding I think for the money it's the bomb

Overall very decently made, Shimano equipment including rear cassette, adjustment is not a problem. Altus, but no "china".
it takes a bit of work to remove the battery, but at least it doesn't rattle in the frame, so it's not such a problem
