after plugging it in, it starts flashing and doesn't work until you install the app on your phone, grant it all permissions and enter the Wi-Fi password
there's no mention of this in the manual, just a QR code for a dodgy app that's 150MB.
It's unbelievable that it's not mentioned anywhere in the manual that the light doesn't work without the smart app, and this manifests as flickering, which could also be caused by a faulty unit or incorrect wiring.
