Image transfer from MacBook via DisplayPort AltMode is unreliable (i. e. unlike other cables, at least sometimes it works). The cable must be constantly unplugged/plugged in for the transmission to work. I bought based on a local comment that it “transmits 4K images from a laptop“, which in my case was only partially confirmed. I have a pile of USB-C cables around here and so far none work as well as the one that came with the monitor (and it' s annoyingly short).
