The external screen does not work through the HDMI port. When connected directly to the laptop connector, the screen works without a problem. I don't know if this is a piece defect or a design problem.

Absolutely great if you want to replace your Samsung DEX device. We have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Note 8 and both work with everything.
You can connect a USB HUB to the USB. The phone recognizes this fine and allows you to work with the peripherals.
Compared to the DEX solution directly from Samsng, there is USB3.0. DEX has only USB 2.0. (which means a lower transfer rate)
the phone also recognizes the LAN network (also tested)
This HW becomes a great helper in case you need to turn your phone into a multimedia device (PC)
The combination of a (wireless) mouse and keyboard (both tested) also works great - the phone recognizes it again perfectly.
When you plug the USB-C into the dock, the phone starts charging, but it's a slower charge than when the phone is charged directly.
