Out of the box, it's plug and play. I have experience with pro streaming and compared to the Elgato CamLink, it seems basically the same for a fifth of the price. Of course it won't replace the editing room, but for using the camera as a webcam it's great. After plugging the Micro HDMI-HDMI into this capture devic and into the PC, the latency seems to be 100ms, so it's better to compensate in OBS or elsewhere.
The only downside is that I don't know how long it will last for the money.
