Small SMD components can be picked up
You can’t pick up integrated circuits because they’re too wide and the tweezers don’t open very wide – only about half a centimetre, or a centimetre if you press down hard on them. I could have applied more force to open it up by, say, 2 cm, but there’s a risk the tweezers might break, so I didn’t try it. The largest integrated circuit I have here is exactly 2 cm; luckily, it works, so it doesn’t need to be removed.
