I had a PB3 for a long time, until the display broke (but then even a rugged phone would probably be destroyed). She even withstood one bad girl deliberately stepping right on the screen. It withstood even rough treatment for an incredibly long time. PB3 HD is pretty much the same design, I expect similar features. Better graphic resolution and redrawing, no artifacts as with the older model. After the firmware update almost all books were black, resetting to factory settings helped. Many formats

Cheaper reader, so I wasn't expecting miracles. But because of its error-prone nature (crashing regularly when viewing PDFs), complex file management (about 5 ways to get files into it, all complicated and slow), and overwhelm with unnecessary features (I just want to read), I've gone back to paper books.

The reader itself looks good, but the features are untested by my daughter, as the reader was mainly bought to borrow books from the library. Unfortunately, the library only lends through Palm books and Pocket book (as well as Kindle) is not compatible with this application. To borrow books you have to buy something else, e.g. Onyx boox
