I used the product in the case purchased with the product. I carry it in a backpack pocket (padded) designed for a tablet. Presto, the display was destroyed, allegedly by mechanical stresses, and the claim was subsequently rejected. I used a PocketBook Basic 3 reader for many years - and when it collapsed, I had to get a new one. I was clear that it was going to be a PocketBook again (I find the sync with Dropbox excellent), and without enthusiasm I quickly found out that it would no longer be with a non-touch display, as it simply isn't being produced.
At first I was quite disillusioned with the new reader, it seemed fragile, "forum", certainly because of its four mechanical buttons (unprotected compared to the old reader). The touchscreen also bothered me, though of course I have touchscreens all over the place - but with the reader I was used to gripping it in any way, which is not possible with this one.
I almost returned it - but strangely enough, everything changed after I got the cover for it. This solved my subjective problem with her "fragility" and I have since gotten fully acquainted with her 🙂 And I can recommend her.
It does what I expect from a reader. Wifi is for online syncing, use something else for the web. The backlight greatly enhances reading comfort. Great choice for me.
