I am literally thrilled and immediately bought a second one for my daughter. Your teeth are cleaned in a way they never are with a regular toothbrush, polished, clean, and I have the impression that even tartar comes down over time. Of course, it does not completely clean the spaces between the teeth, but there are other tools for that.
About the app, I've read comments that you have to keep looking at the app while cleaning, you don't have to! The app just teaches you how to clean, then you know how to do it and don't need to look at it. The toothbrush vibrates at each tooth segment after 30 sec to alert you to move on to the next one. And then it remembers your cleaning, so you can synchronise it at other times than when you're cleaning. So you don't have to keep looking at your mobile as some reviews say.

I'm a bit disappointed that the OralB iO 10 is honestly a better equipped device and in some ways better thought out. I used to have a cheap OralB, but after that experience I chose Philips for two reasons: there are no stupid holes in the head of the toothbrush where saliva flows into and it can't be cleaned, and secondly because brushing is not just about physically scraping your teeth as I used to think. Philips suits me better.
I find sonic cleaning better than just "scraping" with OralB, and I honestly feel better about the cleaning.
