We bought the coffee maker as a replacement for a simpler automatic Krups coffee maker. The difference is huge (especially in terms of convenience of operation and preparation of drinks). No clogged frothing nozzle, preparation of milk drinks is very simple. The LatteGo system froths the milk really well - it is not at all comparable to a classic frothing nozzle. Purchased at a discount on alza incl. extended warranties. We have one month at home so far and my wife and I have taken a liking to the caffé latte - most coffee and most milk. In general, the appearance of the drinks looks delicious, the taste depends on your preferences. For big coffee lovers, the extra shot function comes in handy to make the coffee stronger. Simple controls perhaps at the expense of some missing features that will be missed by more demanding "baristas": -).
Quality product, dimensions and appearance
Sufficient range of coffee types, if you wanted iced coffee is better the 4400 model, here is not
The milk program, so far, is foaming well and reliably, but there is nothing to go wrong here - it's simple
Cleaning is easy - including the milk container (unlike other reviews, this strikes me as well thought out). We always pour out the sediment container and water in the evening, we make about 8-10 coffees per day.
Noise level within the norm (I've seen noisier ones), but it wanted to be backed with thicker rubber pads so the whole line wouldn't shake
Lack of possibility to adjust the coffee brewing process - flow rate, individual water quantity
Only pre-made options, maybe too fast coffee preparation hurts the taste, but the speed is also an advantage
Missing one-touch favourite programme settings - e.g. frothed milk or water for tea is always sought over other drinks, this is probably the biggest shortcoming so far
not supplied with degreasing tablets and lubricant, according to the service plan you will need them in a month
